· Leeftijd > 70 jaar

· Hart- of respiratoir falen

· Ernstige acute infecties/ sepsis

· Inflammatoire/ rheumatische ziekten

· Actieve maligniteit

· Ernstige obesitas

· Neurologische aandoeningen zoals CVA

· Voorgeschiedenis van VTE

· Bekend met trombofilie

· Hormonale behandeling

± Contra-indicaties voor antistolling:

· Actieve bloeding

· Plasmatische stollingsstoornissen

· Trombocyten <50 * 10^9/L
